This is an excerpt from a special program I produced on the 2014 Contemporary Pacific Arts Festival, for the national women's current affairs program, Accent of Women on 3CR Radio. In this interview artist Taloi Havini discusses her latest work, The Blood Generation, a photographic series which is a collaboration between Taloi and photographer Stuart Miller. It reflects on the war and displacement caused by mining and colonisation on the Melanesian island of Bougainville. A central theme in the series is the resistance and resilience of women on the island.
